Any back hoe thumb can pick up a stick or a rock. Not all can grab and hold like the BXpanded Barracuda Back Hoe Thumb. Its toothed edges, strategically curved jaws, and close closing gap give an aggressive grip other BH thumbs can’t match.

The telescoping adjustment lets you easily move the thumb from stowed, to any of several working positions in seconds with no tools and no extra parts.

The Barracuda uses the taper of the dipper stick, as well as clamping force on the sides, to prevent any slipping and resulting damage to hydraulic lines or cylinders.

It’s built with US made, 3/8” thick steel, with all the strength you’ll need to use every bit of the power of your machine. It’s TOUGH! Just like the job you have to do!

The Barracuda comes in great looking hammered silver finish that compliments any color. It’s shipped fully assembled, and takes less than 5 minutes to install using included instructions with no modifications to your tractor.

Replaced my Bro-Tek thumb with this one. I like that it is all self contained, just slide down and pin in place. Used it for rocks, overgrown fencing, brush and fire wood trees. On the bigger trees, the little BX doesn't have enough umph to lift but latch onto the tree with this thumb and lower the stabilizers will usually get it off of the ground to make it more chainsaw friendly.

Great product. Made of thick metal. Easy to install. Easy to adjust and packs up into one unit. No need for top link. No slipping. I use mine to pick up logs for cutting with chainsaw. I am amazed at what I can pick up with this thumb. I have picked up brush piles, picked up stumps, etc. Shipping was quick. I give this product two thumbs up :-)

I had decided to make a home made thumb for my bx24. I was looking at some home made thumbs on line when I found bxpanded. I bought it was a great design and the price so good. I ordered one and I love it. Yes you can build you own, but for the money, this is a really great thumb.

If you have a BX with backhoe, you need a thumb. Greatly expands capability of the machine. Works flawlessly to pick up trees, brush, rock. You will be glad you have this

I sent for MY new Thumb on Sunday eve. 4/19/15. Will let you all know how long it took to get it to Pa. And how shipping was, and how it worked on my 2011 BX 25.Rate the ordering process at 3,ordering portion of site not that user frendley

This is the third product I've purchased from BX Expanded and the fit and finish are great from all three. The thumb works as advertised and easily adjusts to the different settings with the pin. Great American made product!!

UPS just deleivered my new Barracuda Thumb for the Kubota BX25 today. I went straight to the barn and within 15 minutes had it mounted, adjusted and ready for use. Sadly it is pouring rain here so I did not want to get soaked giving it a try. The design, fit, qualityand easy intallation are excellent! Even though I%u2019ve not had a chance to try the thumb I am sure I will be very happy when I do. I%u2019ve already started a wish list for additional BXPANDED products based on the quality of my first purchase.

This thumb turned my backhoe into a whole new tool. I can now dig up and move stumps, logs, and rocks. After stump removal I can also grab and rip out roots. If your on the fence about buying one do it. You won’t have buyers remorse I promise.

Awesome!

What a great accessory for my bx25d. Went on in about 5 minutes and definitely helps grip and rip with my bxpanded ripper hook. Heavy duty, I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy it.

I installed the backhoe thumb on my BX24 without any difficulty. The fit is perfect. I have not had an opportunity to test it out yet. The construction quality is superb. It will clearly be able to handle anything that the BX24 can tolerate. Another fine product from BXpanded.

Fantastic, bought this to help friends in Florida cleanup after Hurricane Michael. Worked beautifully allowed chain saw cutting time in half being able to move pieces that would be too large/heavy to be manhandled. It will grasp and hold pieces that are too heavy to steer the tractor (BX24). Easy on, 5 minutes.
