BXpanded Barracuda Factory Mount Backhoe Thumb for BX25D and BX23S

Any back hoe thumb can pick up a stick or a rock. Not all can grab and hold like the BXpanded Barracuda Thumb. Its toothed edges, strategically curved jaws, and close closing gap give an aggressive grip other BH thumbs can’t match.

The telescoping adjustment has five positions allowing you to easily move the thumb from stowed to any of several working positions in seconds with no tools and no extra parts.

The Factory Mount Barracuda uses the upper thumb attachment point included on the BX25D and BX23S (BT602 and BT603 backhoes only) and a longer pin through the forward hole in the backhoe bucket for attachment. The pins are plated for corrosion resistance and the bucket pin is grease-able complete with Zerk fitting. It is fully compatible with all Kubota factory buckets as well as all BXpanded BX25D and BX23S backhoe attachments including the Quick-On Back Hoe Bucket Connector, 4 Inch Narrow Trenching Bucket, 6 inch Narrow Trenching Bucket (coming soon) and the Talon Ripper.

It’s built with US made, 3/8” thick steel and heavy wall tubing, with all the strength you’ll need to use every bit of the power of your machine. It’s TOUGH! Just like the job you have to do!

The Factory Mount Barracuda comes in Kubota orange or great looking hammered finish silver. Installation takes less than 5 minutes with no modification to your tractor. All necessary hardware is included.

Great product!

I really like this thumb. There isn't anything at all that I do not like about it. It is quality made, strong and that install is pretty easy. My only gripe is that for the bolt that connects the telescoping arm to the actual thumb, I have had to buy a set of tools in a specific size that are not in your standard socket set. Otherwise having to get a couple tools I'll probably never use again for that size, the product is flawless and everyone should have one of these. Also, considering these are probably made to order, the turn around time was decent at about two weeks.

Nice attachment

Bought this after getting tired of picking rocks out of already dug holes. Used it also to lift logs to cut with the chainsaw. I purchase about one item per year for my Kubota bx25d from Bxpanded. All items have fit well and operated as advertised

If you have a Backhoe on your BX you need this Thumb to get full use out of your backhoe. Well Made, easy to install and well worth the money. You will find many uses for the thumb saving your back and your time. Move materials, hold trees up to cut firewood (save your back) etc. I am sure I have not found the end of how to use this thumb yet. Been using mine for about a year now and well worth the purchase.

I purchased this product about a month ago . Its awesome works well on my BX23S Kubota. Easy instal, and made short work loading cut brush into my dump trailer. Highly recommended. I have also used it to pick up medium size rocks saved my back...

BX Thumb

So very happy with the purchase on the thumb for my BX. The bonus is that it's MADE in America. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Very easy to install and easy to use. It's a tool that I am always finding new uses for. 4/11/2021 just ordered the tool box mount for the ROPS. I think the next purchase will be the bucket extender.

Worth every penny

I love this thumb on my BX23S! What a difference this makes in moving logs. I cut up 4 large pine trees and cleaned them up with ease thanks to this thumb! It is worth every penny in my opinion!

I love this thumb! I just put it on this morning and cant believe how useful it is. It makes hauling logs and cutting them for firewood so much easier. I am super pleased with everything about it.

I was a setup mechanic in a Kubota dealership for 4 years and have installed more OEM manual thumbs than I care to remember. This unit was by far the easiest to install that I ever encountered. I was figuring for a couple hours of fighting it when in fact I had it done in about 45 minutes. Highly recommend to anyone!
